Review: Tickled Pink restraints

Easy-peasy kinky pink bondage for everyone.

So lucky lucky kinky little me, I got the Tickled Pink Restraints (with tethers) to review from the fabulous Babeland! These are manufactured by Sportsheets, the go-to company for comfy, versatile, entry-level bondage gear. These are also known as the 'Kinky Pinky' cuffs, which I find hysterical and cute. 


They come packaged in a simple cardboard box, that is very flat rather like an large envelope. It certainly could be used for storage, but I am keeping mine in my toy box with the rest of my kink gear. They do fold up really small and are quite durable so they are easy to store (and definitely travel with, they are lightweight and metal free too) The packaging is recyclable which is always rad.

The Tickled Pink Restraints set is very straightforward. There are two adjustable cuffs that secure with velcro, and each cuff has a 30" long nylon strap hanging off of it. The cuffs are made of a hot pink/magenta minky fur fabric, and the velcro and the straps are black in color. The pink furry portion of these cuffs are incredibly soft, plush and lovely to touch. The cuffs are 2" wide and about 10" long, with 4" long velcro tabs. These are really going to fit a wide variety of limbs, ankles and wrists of all sizes all the way from about 6" to 12" around. Since they are made of faux-fur and nylon, some will be pleased to know they are cruelty free and totally vegan. They are also completely machine washable, so there is no fretting over lube, jizz, or what-have-you getting on the cuffs. Though I wouldn't throw them in the dryer, unless it was on low heat. I like to hang my cuffs dry, just to reduce wear and tear overall. 

Plenty of strap to tie where you please

I was really looking forward to trying these out. We found some really awesome applications for this set of cuffs. They are super easy to play with, and incredibly user-friendly. They lend themselves well to spontaneous bondage, as long as they are in the vicinity we can just grab them and tie 'em to something. The cuffs fit me well, and are incredibly comfortable. I do have kind of small wrists, they are about 6" around, so it's always nice to have cuffs that fit snugly. The velcro is surprisingly strong, and as long as your hands are far apart there's no way to undo them yourself. The nylon straps are nice and long, so you can securely tie them to all kind of things. Coffee table legs, futon armrests, other cuffs, towel racks, chairs, headboards (we are not blessed with one of those so...) really lots and lots of fun, stationary items. They are absolutely perfect for basic tie-me-down-and-fuck-me sessions. This is the thing we've used these for the most so far. I totally got to tie my partner up with these, which was incredibly exciting for me! I am normally the one getting tied up/down in our relationship dynamic. So under the premise of 'trying out and reviewing an item' I absolutely got to tie my guy up with these. The cuffs fit him well too, and he's a lot bigger than me. We found that you can struggle a fair amount with these, and were delighted that they seemed to hold up pretty well. Not an extreme or intense amount of fighting now, but for a basic pair of velcro closure cuffs they are nice and strong. 


So, it says directly on the package 'BEGINNER' and I wholeheartedly agree. But don't let this deter you. These would be perfect for any couple who is new to restraint play and kink. They are not intimidating in the least, not even a little, and they are so easy to use and get creative with. However, I would classify my partner and I as experienced with a lot of BDSM flavored gear. These are still endlessly fun and useful to us, and the fact that they are machine washable, vegan and super easy to travel with are a huge bonus to anyone. 


The Tickled Pink Restraints would make an awesome stocking stuffer or gift for the kinky pervert in your life, hands down. Plus, and this is one of the greatest things, they are obscenely inexpensive! $14 dollars for both cuffs, which is a serious steal. If you are kinky and on a budget? Perfect. Want to try tying up your lover without dropping $100+ on a pricey set of leather cuffs? Perfect. Want something easy to use and travel with to round out your collection of gear? Yeah, they are perfect. Enough said!
