Ryder is a medium sized anal plug, with a long oval torpedo shape that tapers into a nice little neck to help with retention. The widest part of the plug is 1½ in diameter with a 3/4" wide neck and the whole plug is 4" tall. The size makes it a top notch choice for those wanting to branch out from little beginners plugs or fingers to a more filling, but not large butt toy (just starting out? There are a couple other really great things I noticed about this plug right away. The silicone has a really nice give to it, and the flared base (a must for safe anal toys!) is very bendable, unobtrusive and supple. Instead of a round base, it is rectangular, which fits between butt cheeks comfortably. The surface is shiny, and the color is a gorgeous shimmery deep eggplant purple they call 'midnight purple' which is just gorgeous. I am such a freakin' sucker for purple, it is one of my favorite colors. Now, since it is shiny, it is going to attract lint like silicone with this surface style sometimes does. No biggie though, just wipe or rinse if it gets too furry.
Lube is always important with anal play, really use more than you think you need! Being relaxed and aroused also helps immensely. Being made of silicone, the Ryder is not compatible with silicone lubricants. Silicone bonds with silicone and your beloved toy may never be the same. Water based lube is the best choice, something thick is ideal for butt toys since it stays where it's put and coats everything nicely. Anal sex specific lubes can be found on their own page at GoodVibes, just pick something h2o based for silicone. I like Liquid Silk, personally, for my silicone toys. It is totally pussy friendly and glycerin free.
Being made of silicone, Ryder can be sterilized with a 10% bleach solution (wash and rinse thoroughly afterwards) or by boiling it in a big ol' pot of water for several minutes. Or, you can run it through the top rack of your dishwasher with no soap. For regular cleaning, just wash with hot water and regular/antibacterial soap.

Onto my experience with the Ryder. Okay, so this is the perfect butt plug for wearing during PIV (penis-in-vagina) sex. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it stayed in, though the size difference between the body of the plug and the neck is not large. But it was definitely enough to keep it in my bum (where it belongs!) even during a seriously rough romp. Awesome. It is filling without being huge, and adds a nice snug feel while worn during PIV. The base is super super bendy, and didn't rub or chafe against my guys cock at all. It is also just right for wearing during regular solo play as well, I just popped it in and played with a wand vibe, thoroughly enjoying the awareness it brought to my butt!
So far, it has also proved to be an ideal plug for long term wear (couple hours or more) It stays in well, especially as a starter plug. I found the size to be just right as the first or only plug I use in a play session, and is just awesome as a warm up plug to get relaxed and ready for bigger toys. The base is ideal for longer wear and is pretty darn comfy between your butt cheeks.
The bottom line? The Ryder is an awesome body safe, butt friendly silicone toy with a lot of versatility. It is a nice beginner friendly size and texture that still works for the more experienced. It is a stellar warm-up plug and the base is just fantastic. I would rate it as a 5 star out of 5 item, love it love it love it. Would absolutely be a perfect addition to the toy box of anyone who likes butt play.
